Mission Statement

AGI Publishing, Inc., dba Valley Yellow Pages, is the largest independent Yellow Pages publisher in Central and Northern California and the third largest in the nation. Directories are delivered to households and businesses in 46 different markets, helping more than 15,400,000 people find reliable, local business information.

In addition to print, Valley Yellow Pages provides local search tools online with its Internet Yellow Pages at, mobile apps, and virtual Yellow Pages at To help consumers save money, Valley Yellow Pages also has coupons and text message offers available through its print, mobile, and online products.

Company History

With more than 100 years of combined Yellow Pages experience, three former Pacific Bell executives founded AGI Publishing, Inc. in June 1985. In 1987, they began operations as Valley Yellow Pages and established a corporate office in Fresno, California. The first directory, “Fresno & Clovis,” was published in 1988. Today, more than 450 people are employed by Valley Yellow Pages throughout Central and Northern California.

Valley Yellow Pages was founded on the principle of bringing direct competition to the marketplace thus providing advertisers with a choice in Yellow Pages advertising. And, the best way to do this is through creating an invaluable resource containing all types of local business and community information, which would also serve as an effective, and affordable, advertising vehicle.

As Valley Yellow Pages has grown from its beginnings, it has become not only an important community resource, but also a valuable contributor to the communities it serves. All of the employees of Valley Yellow Pages continue to build upon the company’s prominent standing in the industry, while maintaining its tradition of delivering the best possible product at the best possible price.

Print Yellow Pages: Production

Valley Yellow Pages’ artwork is produced by ASEC International, a premier provider of graphic design and advertising development solutions.

Valley Yellow Pages directories are printed by RR Donnelley, the world’s leading full-service provider of print services and the largest printer of directories.

Print Yellow Pages: Delivery and Distribution

Directory distribution consists of two phases: Initial and newcomer delivery.

Initial distribution occurs when Valley Yellow Pages directories are delivered door-to-door, free of charge, to businesses and households throughout a specific market area. Product Development Corporation, one of the nation’s leading directory distribution companies, is Valley Yellow Pages’ door-to-door and secondary delivery contractor.

Newcomer delivery continues throughout the year as directories are mailed out to newcomer business and resident listings.

Valley Yellow Pages directories can also be obtained from local Chambers of Commerce that stock the Valley Yellow Pages directories as a free service. Additional directories are always available by calling 800 350-8887 or by ordering online.

Veale Outdoor Advertising
Tom Jackson, General Manager

We are Veale Outdoor Advertising
Why Outdoor Advertising?
Veale Outdoor Advertising’s Digital Billboard is a great way to reach people where they live, work and play. It is media that is everywhere, and when used with creativity, it creates brand new ad spaces where none existed before — ad spaces that can stop people in their tracks.

By the way, it’s also one of your most cost-effective advertising options according to the OAAA. We’ll be happy to explain — just give us a ring.

Comparing outdoor ads to other advertising options:
Unlike TV, radio or print, outdoor is media that cannot be turned off or put down. Viewers cannot fast forward through an outdoor ad as it moves through their environment or they enter the viewing range of strategically placed displays — like billboards. With TV, radio, print and the Internet, consumers have the ability to change the channel, fast forward, turn the page (or miss the page!) or close the browser window. Outdoor is possibly the last place where consumers do not control the ad space. This gives advertisers unprecedented control over how and where an ad is seen.

As the effectiveness of these other media slips, outdoor is also being seen by a larger and larger audience — especially as people spend longer periods of time commuting and away from their homes.

More time away from the home = more time in front of out-of-home media and outdoor advertising.

Your Town Monthly
Chandra Crowley

Who is S&J Advertising’s Your Town Monthly?

S&J Advertising is locally owned and operated and has been publishing direct mail magazines in select markets throughout Northern California since 1990.  Our publications, with a combined monthly distribution of over 262,000, contain information on entertainment and events that are important to the local community.  Residents look to our website & magazines for information on downtown events, car shows, community movie nights, library events, senior center events, local fundraisers, youth sports sign ups, restaurant reviews, day trip ideas and much more.  It is this local touch that connects us so well with our readers and makes advertising so successful for our clients.

Our publications include Your Town Monthly (Dixon/Winters), Your Town Monthly (Vacaville), Your Town Monthly (Fairfield, Suisun, Cordelia & Travis AFB), Your Town Monthly (San Ramon, Danville, Blackhawk, Alamo & Diablo), Your Town Monthly (Pleasanton/Dublin), Your Town Monthly (Livermore) and Your Town Monthly (Walnut Creek/Lafayette).  In addition to our monthly magazines, S&J provides printing and design services for postcards, business cards, brochures, door hangers and more.

How we’re delivered:

Our publications are direct mailed to every home and business in the above areas.  We also provide targeted rack distribution sites in the communities we serve.  In addition, our complete publications are available on our website, and are updated monthly.

Our publications are “stand alone”; not inserted in a newspaper or inside weekly “junk mail” where your target audience has to “find” you or miss you altogether.  All of our publications are individually mailed, visible and widely recognized.

What is the distribution and how is it accountable?

Please refer to each individual publication for the cities served by visiting  Distribution is very important to us.  We can account for where we are delivered with Proof of Mailing from the USPS.  Be sure that you get what you pay for when comparing advertising dollars and distribution numbers.

Will this work for me?

Yes!  Reaching families and businesses provides necessary information to the community.  We have a month-long shelf life, which allows the consumer to see you, learn about you and utilize your valuable services (this is true whether you choose to offer a coupon or not).

How do I schedule my ad?

Please visit or email  You can submit camera-ready artwork or let us do the designing for you!  All prices include the design of your ad and full color.  Call us today!
