Inflation Reduction Act Community Change Grants Program

The Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grants program by the EPA has released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for around $2 billion in Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funds. These grants aim to support environmental and climate justice activities benefiting disadvantaged communities by reducing pollution, enhancing community climate resilience, and building capacity to address environmental challenges. Emphasizing community-driven initiatives, these investments seek to address the disproportionate impacts of climate change, legacy pollution, and historical disinvestments on vulnerable communities.

ZenBusiness will award over 40 grants to small businesses this year. The Small Business Transition Grant for New Entrepreneurs Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) aim to support career development and the conduct of research and development under a new entrepreneur’s direction. California Paid Family Leave Grant

Small businesses in California with 1-100 employees with at least one (1) employee utilizing California’s Paid Family Leave program (on or after June 1, 2024) are eligible to apply for grants up to $2,000 per employee on PFL to offset the increased costs associated with the employee out on leave.

The Saucony Run For Good Grant

Funding Availability: Up to $10,000. Deadline: There are two rounds of grants per year. Applications are to be submitted by December 15 and June 15, annually. Any application coming through after those dates will be considered for the next grant round.
The Saucony Run For Good Foundation is now accepting grant applications to help run down the childhood obesity epidemic. The grants are open to community nonprofit organizations that initiate and support running programs for kids.

Core Grant

Funding Availability: Amount Varies | Deadline: Must Submit Application within 6-Month Timeframe of Incident
If a family qualifies for CORE support, they receive a financial grant that is a gift. Each grant is unique and based on the applicant’s specific qualifying event and financial need. The following expenses are costs that may be covered by a CORE grant: rent/mortgage, utilities, medical supplies, medical or therapy equipment, therapies, prescriptions, over the counter medicine, travel costs, costs associated with a funeral, groceries, clothing, other essentials a family might need to navigate their specific circumstance. We work with each family to curate the most impactful grant for their family. All information provided to CORE is kept confidential. Documentation is required.

California Paid Family Leave Small Business Grant

Grant amount: $1,000 – $2,000 per employee | Deadline: Ongoing


California Paid Family Leave (PFL) is part of the California State Disability Insurance program providing benefits to eligible California workers who need time off work to care for a seriously ill or injured family member, to bond with a new child, or to participate in a qualifying military event. PFL pays up to 8 weeks of benefits in 12 months. Although PFL does not provide job protection, various federal and state laws provide protected leave for up to 12 weeks.

Civil Money Penalty Reinvestment Grant

Deadline: Ongoing
This grant supports programs to improve the quality of life for residents in skilled nursing facilities. Projects may include training, culture change, and direct improvements to the quality of life, direct improvements to quality of care, and other applicable goals.
Examples of projects include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing methods to increase Person-Centered Care, Infection Control Training, implementing technology to prevent resident falls, and more.

Civil Money Penalty Communicative Technology Grant

Deadline: Ongoing
This grant allows Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and associations on behalf of facilities to apply for funding for tablets and tablet-related accessories. The tablets will be used for virtual telehealth and family visits for SNF residents. Applicants may generally request up to $3,000.00 per facility, however requests beyond $3,000.00 per facility will be accepted and will require CDPH and CMS review.

Amber Grant

$10,000 monthly grants and a chance at a $25,000 annual grant is available.
WomensNet founded the “Amber Grant” in 1998. The grant was set up with one goal in mind: to honor the memory of a very special young woman, Amber Wigdahl, who died at just 19 years old — before realizing her business dreams.
Today, WomensNet carries on that tradition, proudly giving away at least $30,000 every month in Amber Grant money. In recognition of the diversity of businesses owned by women, we’ve also expanded our grant-giving to include “Marketing Grants,” “Business Category Grants,” as well as two “$25,000 Year End Grants.”

As an angel investment group, Hivers and Strivers works to provide capital to qualifying businesses. Incfile is offering two grants to support aspiring entrepreneurs and students. The “Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Grant” provides $2,500 to a high school senior, undergraduate, graduate, or trade school student in the U.S. with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and an interest in starting a business.
